C. Allen Mullins Architect participated in the rebuilding of Columbia Elevated Subway Station as job captain during intern development at The Architects Collaborative (TAC), Cambridge, Massachusetts. Architect Mullins began involvement in the project after the design was completed. He produced working drawings and coordinated the consulting engineering. The newly reorganized Massachusetts Bay Transportation Authority was in the process of fulfilling their comprehensive plan completed by Cambridge Seven. Cambridge Seven developed the highly recognized lollipop "T" sign still used by MBTA, as well as the renovation of many subway stations under the plan. The Project architect for all of stations being designed by TAC for MBTA was Richard A. Sabin. The construction of the structure was brick masonry and poured concrete.
